Summer is here. With your family, with your beloved one, or on your own, summer is the perfect time for a vacation. Many of us look at vacation as a restful, relaxing time, but travel can oftentimes end up being stressful and tricky.
No matter if you are travelling abroad, or to a different continent, or just to another city, getting the required essentials is what makes or breaks your juorney.
The peak season for the summer is from June till August, and the prices for the comodities are the highest rates. And nobody wants to pay triple the price for something he owns at home, but have forgotten it.
So, if you don’t want to pay the ridiculous high prices, then keep on reading. But if you don’t have the time to read the article, here is the complete list of the main essentials to pack before you leave the house:
- Medications, Insurance, and First Aid Kit
- Hydrating Mist
- Phone Charger/Adapter
- Disinfecting Wipes
- GPS or Map
This is the most important thing for you to pack for your vacation. You won’t get very far without it. If you’re travelling within Europe as an EU citizen, sometimes all you need is your ID to travel – but this often depends on your airline, so we recommend keeping your passport on you at all times, just incase. Before you travel, make sure your passport is valid too. It’s always good to have at least six months on your passport before it expires so always check your expiry date in good time so you can order a new one before the trip comes.
Medications, Insurance, and First Aid Kit
Packing your medical prescriptions for vacations is a plus point. Stepping into a unknown land may bring a long list of issues like allergies to eczema or something even worse. That’s why you should not forget to make a Travel Insurance before you go on your vacation. Along with all of your medical prescriptions it’s not a bad idea to take a First Aid Kit with you.
Do not forget your money! Our reccomendations is that you find some local currency exchange (a trusted even by the locals) with the best rates rather than changing your cash at the airport where it’s more expensive. If you don’t know how much money to bring, take as much as you think you’ll spend for one day, and start from there.
While you are on the long waited vacation (and probably well deserved), you would like to feel refreshed all the time, right? All that sunshine and salty sea air can dry you out. So, it’s worth taking with you a hydrating misth just to keep your skin hydrated.
Well, this is also one of the important things not to forget at home for the most of us (smile). You can also bring a portable baterry charger, just in case so that your battery won’t die, while you are capturing the best moments of your vacation.
Getting some sort of a sickness while you are travelling is not the best thing to happen while you are on you well deserved vacation. Don’t take the risk. Wipe down your seat, tray table, and anything else you’re touching on the airplane, or even in the room you are staying.
It’s very important to get your sunscreen with you. DOn’t forget to apply it eve while you are travelling to your destination, especially if you are seating on the window seat. This way you’ll protect youself from the harmful UVA rays.
GPS or Map
Installing a GPS app on your smartphone could be a life saver. Especially if you are staying in some of the biggest cities. But you’ll never know if you can have a good GPS signal, or your battery might let you down, so a good backup plan is to bring a good old map with you.
